No. Smooth PDF Reader operates completely client-side in your web browser. Neither your photos, generated PDFs, filenames, nor document contents are transmitted to any remote server or third-party cloud.
Because all document rendering occurs in your computer or phone's memory, we recommend keeping individual image files below 50MB and PDF files below 100MB to maintain smooth browser performance without freezing.
Smooth PDF Reader is compatible with all modern standards-compliant web browsers including Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, Microsoft Edge, Safari, and Chromium-based mobile browsers.
You can delete individual files by clicking the trash button next to each document in the "My PDFs" section, or click "Clear Local Vault" (or via Settings) to remove all stored files and history from your browser's IndexedDB in one click.
No web application has permission to directly browse your private Android device folders. When you choose to convert or view files on the website, your browser opens your device's standard file selector dialog where you select exactly which files you wish to open.
